L’Oreal Warehouse Sale for Fall 2012!

with one comment

I was able to go to the L’Oreal Fall Warehouse sale. Basically, it is a warehouse sale that L’Oreal puts on twice a year in different major cities (I know of Toronto and Montreal, but that’s about it) in the Spring and Fall. The sales are not open to the general public and one can only gain entry with a ticket. These tickets are generally given out to companies who are affiliated with L’Oreal. I was lucky that Mr. Pixelbunny¬†got a ticket from work and brought it home for me.

Crowds are insane there so be prepared to see a LOT of people there. I grabbed a shopping basket, only because pushing a shopping cart around is more of a hassle than anything.

The first week I went, I picked up these goodies:

  • L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Volume Collagen Shampoo 750ml
  • L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Volume Collagen Conditioner 375ml x2
  • Garnier Nutrisse Intense Colour Cream in 366 – deep burgundy brown – $4
  • Essie polish in Sew Psyched (704) – $6
  • L’Oreal polish in Mango-Get-Em (410) – $3
  • Lancome Vernis in Love in Bleu de Flore (573B) – $9

I couldn’t resist going a second time the week after and picked up these other goodies:

  • Lancome Le Vernis in Rouge Saint-Honore (22) – $9
  • Lancome Le Vernis in Noir 29 (23) – $9
  • Lancome L’absolu Rouge Lipcolour¬†in La Base (001) from the Holiday 2011 Golden Hat collection – $14
  • Essie’s Feed Me hydrating treatment base coat – $4.50
  • Lancome’s Blanc Expert Nuit – Ultimate Brightening Renewing night cream – $54
  • Vichy’s After Sun Daily Milky Care – $18
  • Essie polish in Bazooka (933) – $4.50
  • Essie polish in It’s Genius (344) – $4.50
  • Essie polish in Bobbing for Baubles (890) – $4.50

As you can see, the Essie polish was even cheaper the second week around! First week, they had a sale of buy 4 Essie polishes, get one free. The second week, they brought the prices down to $4.50 each and had more colours available than the previous week! If you’re ever able to get your hands on a ticket, it’s definitely worth it to go each week. There’s always something new that pops up!

NOTD: China Glaze’s Purr-fect Plum

without comments

I received this in Loose Button’s Fall 2012 Luxe Box (I’ll have another post on that later). This polish is a really gorgeous deep berry plum colour. It’s from the Fall 2012 Safari collection. It took two coats for me to get a nice opaque layer. Topped off with my Seche Vite top coat and I was all set! Unfortunately, I can’t give a proper review on wear and tear as I work in the hospital setting, so all the hand sanitizer use and hand washing I do each day doesn’t bode well for nail polish. Definitely a beautiful colour for fall!

An introduction

without comments

Welcome to my little spot on the web! It feels like every time I’m sick for a few days, I have this incredible urge to start a blog. The blog starts, lasts for a couple of weeks, then dies. I’m hoping this will last somewhat longer. I haven’t entirely figured out what this blog will be about so I’ll probably experiment before settling on the main focus. Until then, please bear with me!
